I am very fond of the traditional Red, Green and Gold for Christmas cards, but I do like to slip in some more contemporary colors from time to time. Today’s card features the Stars are Shinning Stamp Set, an easy fun fold and Gorgeous Grape paired with Fresh Freesia Card

• Base Card: 11 x 4 1/4 Gorgeous Grape Card ~ scored @ 2 3/4 & 5 1/2
• Layer 1: 4 x 2 1/2 Fresh Freesia Card ~ run thru the Cut and Emboss Machine with the Greenery Embossing Folders
• Layer 2: 4 1/4 x 3 Gorgeous Grape cut with the Stitched So Sweetly Dies
• Layer 3: 3 1/2 x 2 3/8 Fresh Freesia Card
• Layer 4: 3 1/4 x 2 1/8 Basic White Card
• Ink Color: Gorgeous Grape

After I stamped my tree decorations on the Basic White Card it is layered onto the Fresh Freesia and die cut Gorgeous Grape layer with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. Once assembled it is attached to the card base with 3 – 4 Stampin Dimensionals.

The greeting is from the same stamp set, cut with the Layering Circle Dies – I simply selected the one that the greeting fitted in then cut the matching scalloped die in Gorgeous Grape card. The little ribbon tails uses about 2 1/2″ of Highland Heather 1/2 Grosgrain Ribbon folded in half and attached with a Mini Glue dot. A final scattering of Rhinestone Basic Jewels and we are done. I know just the person who would love this combination – just like me!
