I just love this little guy! I have made quite a few cards using the Hippest Hippos Stamp Set and coordinating Hippo Dies – and I think this is my favorite! I can certainly see this as a great card for littlies in our lives.

• Base Card: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Starry Sky Card ~ scored @ 4 1/4
• Layer 1: 5 x 3 3/4 Basic White Card
• Layer 2: 5 x 3 Starry Sky 6 x 6 Decorative Paper
• Layer 3: 3 1/2 x 2 1/2 Basic White Card
• Ink Color: Smoky Slate with Smoky Slate Stampin Blends

I stamped the lil’ guy first, leaving plenty of space beneath him so I could add the die cut ‘waves’ I used the light Smoky Slate Blend to color him in then used the Color Lifter to lighten up his snout and chest.

The little ‘splash’ snorkel, face mask and wave are all cut using the dies from the Hippo Dies – there are 19 dies in this set, perfect for creating little scenes for the cutest of cards. I simply attached them with the tiniest dot of Multipurpose Liquid Glue, before attaching the panel to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Don’t you agree – he is a lil’ cutie???
