Welcome to my Corner of the World
Having a standard recipe for the layers of a card can be a good start in the design process, today’s card follows a recipe I use quite a lot. That is my starting point, then I choose my colors and stamp set (s).
I may have shared in the past……………….. I love punches, they are one of the first things I look for when a new catalog comes out so while the layout is straightforward I have gone a little overboard with my punches. 🙂
- Base Card: 11 x 4 1/4 Early Expresso Card ~ scored @ 5 1/2
- Layer 1: 5 1/4 x 4 Pumpkin Pie Card
- Layer 2: 5 x 3 3/4 Very Vanilla Card
- Ink Color: Early Expresso and Pumpkin Pie
The Daisy Garden is a large, single stamp, which literally covers the Very Vanilla layer, as it is so large I choose to use my Stamparatus (check out more info here) The greeting is from the recently retired Flowing Flowers Stamp set, cut with the Rectangle Postage Stamp Punch. Using the Medium Daisy Punch to cut 2 flowers, attaching them together with a Mini Glue Dots then added an Elegant Faceted Gem to the center.
My final punch is Bough Punch to cut a little stem of leaves – I used gold foil for this embellishment but the picture does not really do that bit justice!
I hope you enjoyed the card I shared with you today, I love what I do and spend many hours working on designs, new projects, new ideas and much more.
