Welcome to my corner of the World
Once again I am thrilled to be taking part in the Ink . Stamp . Share blog hop. We are a group of Stampin’ Up!®️Demonstrators from around the globe here to bring you inspiration through creativity!
You will have either arrived from Kim’s post or starting here ~ either way WELCOME . We do not have a theme, but each of the talented artisans showcase what they are working on at this time each month. There will be techniques, fancy folds, 3D, new products and ideas – a veritable treasure chest for you to draw on every month.
I have been trying to be more prepared for the Christmas season – as a result today’s card is a Christmas one. I was inspired by a card sent to me by my niece in 2013! I found it again when sorting thru some boxes, I must have thought it a good inspiration piece at the time………………. and I was right – it inspired a super luxurious card!
Base Card: 11 x 4 1/4 Very Vanilla Thick Card ~ scored @ 5 1/2
Layer 1: 5 1/4 x 4 Brushed Metallic Card – I used the middle shade one
Layer 2: 5 x 3 1/2 Mossy Meadow Card
Layer 3: 5 x 3 3/4 Lovely Layers Vellum Sheet
Ink Color: Versamark and Gold Embossing Powder
I have used the Lovely Layers Vellum pack on a number of cards recently, this time I used one of the plain sheets, scored 1/4 on the short side then cut the fancy edge with Basic Borders Dies before heat embossing the tree and greeting using the Trimming the Tree Stamp Set.
I folded the scored edge around the back of the Mossy Meadow layer and attached with some Mini Glue Dots, then added a couple of extra glue dots under the embossed tree. The bow is made from the Gold and Vanilla Satin Edged Ribbon and a single Gold Festive Pearl.
Check out another card using the Lovely Layers Vellum
