HAPPY NEW YEAR !
Once again I enjoyed designing and making my flip over calendar for 2023, with the help of my friend, Elly – while she was visiting from the UK in October. . As I have done for the last few years I am going to be sharing one at the start of each month. This was designed for a stamp camp in early December 2022, we had such fun making them and my ladies have made me promise to do another for 2024
I am changing things a little for this year, I recognise not everyone is into making 3D items so have created a card for each month, using elements from the calendar for that month. .
So today I share, a Happy New Year Penguin with a simple fun fold for the card!
- Base Card: 5 1/2 x 4 Pool Party Card
- Calendar Layer : 5 x 3 1/2 Basic White Card
- Ink Color: Pool Party, Tuxedo Black and Pumpkin Pie
The stamp set is Penguin Place with the coordinating Penguin Builder Punch and the greeting is from the Brightest Glow Stamp Set. (these products are about to retire and will be available until Wednesday 4th!)
As I work thru the year some of the products used might have retired, however you may have them in your stash or find a suitable alternative, either way enjoy 🙂
The calendar part is made using the Days to Remember Stamp Set ~ which is cleverly designed to cover all the months of the year. I have a video on how I used it to create my calendar. Check out how I did this
- Card Base: 11 x 4 1/4 Pool Party Card ~ scored @ 2 3/4 & 5 1/2 to create a Lazy Z fun fold
- 2nd Layer : 5 x 3 1/2 Basic White Card run the the Cut and Emboss Machine with the Wintry 3D Embossing Folder
- 3rd Layer: 3 3/4 x 2 3/4 Pool Party Card
- 4th Layer: 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 Basic White Card
- Ink Color: Pool Party, Tuxedo Black and Pumpkin Pie
I added a couple of embellishments with the Mini Iridescent Trim and an Iridescent Pearl ~ because you cannot have a card without a little sparkle. If you were to change out the greeting this would make a super Christmas card or even a great January birthday card!
