2023 Flip Over Desk Calendar ~ Valentine Hearts

Welcome to my Corner of the World

Once again I enjoyed designing and making my flip over calendar for 2023, with the help of my friend, Elly – while she was visiting from the UK in October. . As I have done for the last few years I am going to be sharing one at the start of each month. This was designed for a stamp camp in early December 2022, we had such fun making them and my ladies have made me promise to do another for 2024

I am changing things a little for this year, I recognise not everyone is into making 3D items so have created a card for each month, using elements from the calendar for that month. .

So today I share, Valentine Hearts

  • Base Card: 5 1/2 x 4 Blushing Bride Card
  • Calendar Layer : 5 x 3 1/2 Basic White Card
  • Ink Color: Coastal Cabana

The greeting is from the Eden’s Garden stamp set and the little hearts are from the Days to Remember Stamp set which is also used to create the calendar part. I used the Heart Punch Pack for the big hearts the scalloped one is cut from the Rose Gold Metallic Specialty Paper is and the tiny hearts are cut from one of the dies in the Cracker and Treat Box Dies from the Gold Metallic Specialty Paper in the same pack.

As I work thru the year some of the products used might have retired, however you may have them in your stash or find a suitable alternative, either way enjoy 🙂

The calendar part is made using the Days to Remember Stamp Set ~ which is cleverly designed to cover all the months of the year. I have a video on how I used it to create my calendar. Check out how I did this

Here is the alternate card, made using the same design as the calendar, with a few extra supplies:

  • Card Base: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Blushing Bride Card ~ run thru the Cut and Emboss Machine with the Stripes and Splatters Embossing Folder
  • 2nd Layer : 5 1/2 x 2 Gold Metallic Specialty Paper
  • 3rd Layer: 3 3/4 x 2 3/4 Coastal Cabana Card
  • 4th Layer : 3 1/2 x 2 1/2 Basic White Card
  • Ink Color: Coastal Cabana

I added a pretty bow made with the 1/4 White Crinkle Ribbon and some texturing on the card base.

Check out how I tie my bows
