A couple of weeks ago we had an ice storm come thru North Texas that lasted about 4 days. While I was warm and snug indoors it did look a bit bleak outside and I needed to think about something a sunny and bright – so today’s card uses the Tropical Hideaway Stamp with some bright and happy gold heat embossing.

• Base Card: 11 x 4 1/4 Tahitian Tide Card ~ scored @ 5 1/2
• Layer 1: 5 1/4 x 4 Parakeet Party Card
• Layer 2: 5 1/8 x 3 7/8 Very Vanilla Card
• Ink Color: Versamark with Gold Embossing Powder

The Tropical Hideaway stamp is a background stamp which means it measures roughly 5 1/2 by 4 1/2 so pretty much covers a 1/4 sheet of card in one go! … it is great for stamping images quickly, it will fit on an F Acrylic Block but as it is so big I prefer to use my Stampartus for these.

After attaching to the Parakeet Party card layer with Liquid Adhesive I wound a length of both the Parakeet Party and Tahitian Tide Metallic Woven Ribbon to add a little bit more sparkle!

My greeting is from the Biggest Wish Stamp set, again I have heat embossed it with gold and cut with the Stylish Shapes Dies. The Parakeet Party circle is also cut using the same die set (which is now back in stock!)
