2023 Flip Over Desk Calendar ~ July 4th

Welcome to my Corner of the World

Once again I enjoyed designing and making my flip over calendar for 2023, with the help of my friend, Elly – while she was visiting from the UK in October. . As I have done for the last few years I am going to be sharing one at the start of each month. This was designed for a stamp camp in early December 2022, we had such fun making them and my ladies have made me promise to do another for 2024

I am changing things a little for this year, I recognise not everyone is into making 3D items so have created a card for each month, using elements from the calendar for that month. .

So today I share, July’s Stars and Strips ~ with a quick and simple fun fold card!

  • Base Card: 5 1/2 x 4 Night of Navy Card
  • Calendar Layer : 5 x 3 1/2 Basic White Card
  • Ink Color: Real Red and Night of Navy

The stamp set is called Stitchery which sadly retired in May, the stars are from the Days to Remember stamp set used to create the calendars.

As I work thru the year some of the products used might have retired, however you may have them in your stash or find a suitable alternative, either way enjoy 🙂

The calendar part is made using the Days to Remember Stamp Set ~ which is cleverly designed to cover all the months of the year. I have a video on how I used it to create my calendar. Check out how I did this

  • Card Base: 8 1/2 x 4 1/4 Night of Navy Card ~ scored @ 4 1/4
  • 2nd Layer : 4 x 4 Real Red Card run the the Cut and Emboss Machine with one of the Basics Embossing Folders.
  • 3rd Layer: 3 3/4 x 2 3/4 Night of Navy Card
  • 4th Layer : 3 1/2 x 2 1/2 Basic White Card
  • Ink Color: Night of Navy & Real Red

‘July’ is also from the Days to Remember Stamp Set and the ‘4’ is from the Classic Letters Stamp Set, both were cut with the cute little Best Label Punch. A few Rhinestone Basic Jewels to add sparkle for the celebration and we are done!

I love this simple fun fold and have made and shared several over the last few months ~ you can check one out here ~ it has a video to show how the pieces go together 🙂
