3D Greeting Technique with Video Tutorial

As I explain in my video – I received a card using this technique and just had to give it a try.  It works wonderfully with dies with words so I am sure it would work equally as well with ones for flowers and the like.

I have created a birthday card using the Happy Birthday Framelit Die using the  technique as my focal point, so the stamping is very simple using the Timeless Textures Stamp Set to create a background on which to present the Happy Birthday.

Pop of Petals Side Step Fold – Video Tutorial

I just love this card – it has flowers, it has pink, it has lace and it has sparkle – all my favorites in one tidy package.

The sidestep fold is very impressive looking but is easy to do if you have a good paper trimmer with a scoring blade as well as cutting blade – which is exactly what the Stampin Trimmer is!  The fold also gives you lots of surfaces to decorate which is how I have managed to get all my favorites in 🙂  Continue reading

Animal Outing Birthday

Earlier this month was Grand-daughter # 3’s birthday – the Animal Outing Stamp set with the coordinating Animal Expedtion Designer Series Paper is just perfect for  ‘littlies’ in our lives, change out the colors and it works for either boys or girls!

Because this card needed to be sent to the UK I kept the layering and decorations to a minimum, relying on the Petal Pink Metallic Ribbon to provide my signature bling!

Rooted in Nature Waterfall Card & Video Tutorial

At the end of October I shared a Halloween card we made in my monthly card class using the Waterfall Fold and promised to share a video – today I make good on that promise.

Plus I am doubling up and making it a guy card as well!  I figure the fellas in my life would get a kick out of the mechanism that makes the waterfall work!

Once again I have fallen back on the Rooted in Nature Stamp Set – it is just so perfect for the fellas but I need to think of a way to make a more feminine card with it ~ well that has set me a challenge hasn’t it?

Rooted in Nature – Sweet and Simple Guy Birthday Card

I shall say again, as I have many times in the past – making cards for the fellas in my life is always a challenge – and so it was for my husband’s birthday earlier this month!

My current favorite stamp set for fellas is Rooted in Nature, it has the perfect images without being too ‘fruu – fruu’ and sappy 🙂  Coupled with the Wood Textured DSP stack and the Leaves Trinkets it brings the woody theme together.

Black Ice Technique with Video Tutorial

Time to share a technique ~ Black Ice.  It creates a great focal point to a card with a really unusual finish.  As this is an embossing technique it also gave me a chance to pull out my Heat Gun which has been sadly neglected for a while 🙂

Looking at the color combination I think this would make for a great card for the guys in our lives and the second sample with a little flower and bow would be great for a feminine card.

For You with Graceful Garden

The Graceful Garden Stamp Set is perfect for making a really peaceful and elegant card.  The ‘for you’ sentiment can be used for just about any occasion, birthday, anniversary, thank you, thinking of you, or simply ‘just because’

I have paired the stamp set with Mint Macaron and Sahara Sand which are peaceful colors as well and then a scattering of Basic Jewel Pearls to give even more of an elegant touch.
