Gatefold Thank You Card.

Welcome to my Corner of the World

We always need thank you cards, I sent out a lot of those to friends, family and my wonderful SU customers. I have used one of the palest colors along side one of the darkest colors in the Stampin’ UP! color family today and they work so very well together!

Unusually for me I have used 2 different stamp sets for this card, but I think the design would work for almost any occasion, just change out the greeting and it would be a very pretty birthday or thinking of you card as well.

Bumble Bee Birthday Card Idea

Welcome to my Corner of the World

I chose to use Bumble Bee design from the Dandy Garden Designer Series Paper for todays card, pulling out 2 of the colors for my card, Bumblebee and Misty Moonlight. To showcase the double-sidedness of the paper I used both sides of the same sheet.

Bumble Bees are attracted to flowers so I built up the flowers and leaves using the Lacy Petal Dies, giving me a really pretty and feminine card.

Gilded Floral Inspirational Card Idea

Welcome to my Corner of the World

Todays card uses the Art Gallery Stamp Set and the beautiful Gilded Leafing Embellishment to create this very pretty and feminine inspirational card. I just love the Gilded Leafing, I am on my second pot of it!

This is the third card and technique I have shared with you on using this embellishment and I still have a few more up my sleeve to share in the coming weeks so keep watch 🙂

Donkey Birthday Card Idea

Welcome to my Corner of the World

I just wanted to share this cute card I made for my great-nephew’s 10th birthday last month, I used the Darling Donkey’s Stamp Set from Sale-a-bration, sadly this set is no longer available but a great alternative would be the Zany Zebras Stamp Set.

I used the ‘tone-on-tone stampin’ technique for my background and broke out my watercolor pencils to color my cheeky lil’ donkey, he looks so cute just sitting there 🙂

Flip over calendar for March

Welcome to my Corner of the World

In the early part of last December I had a class to create a flip over calendar, everyone loved it and made me promise we will do another later in this new year! I thought I might start each month this year by posting the page for that month, so today I share, March which you can see has a St Patrick’s Day theme.

Welcome Back Hey Chick & Introducing Hey Birthday Chick

Welcome to my Corner of the World

During Sale-A-Bration 2017, Stampin’ UP! was blown away by how much you loved the Hey Chick Stamp Set, so they decided to bring it back, {never seen this happen before} —along with coordinating dies and a completely new bundle created in the same style. These two bundles are only available for a limited time, from February 2nd thru to June 30th! and I am sharing some of the designs using them to introduce them and to inspire you.

The bundles have a stamp set with coordinating dies and have a 10% discount, but if you want to buy just the stamp set or the dies they are available separately.

Pretty Pink and Purple Parasols Friend Card Idea

Welcome to my Corner of the World

I could not resist the literation for today’s card! I think that pink and purple is such a pretty combination especially when you use the pastel tones of those colors! I chose Blushing Bride and Highland Heather to create this ‘forever friends’ card and would be great to send to someone ‘just because’ …….. I love getting happy mail!

I have used the Under My Umbrella Stamp set on a fair few cards I have shared with you, I have included some links below so you can see them again.

Butterfly and Leaves Sympathy Card

Welcome to my Corner of the World

I have used the Touched My Heart Stamp Set so many times, I just love the lovely sweeping leaf images and the 3 greetings. I have used the sympathy stamp for today’s card but the design and colors would work well if you changed out for another.

With the exception of a couple of splashes of BumbleBee card and ribbon the rest of the card is very neutral, so you could change out for any card and ribbon you might have in your stash.
