Fall Themed Thank You Card

Welcome to my Corner of the World

Well the leaves are falling from the trees thick and fast now, yesterday morning my husband spent half an hour raking the leaves in the back garden – 2 hours later it looked as though he had never even started as there was a thick carpet of them again!

Today’s card, made using the Beautiful Autumn Stamp Set with the coordinating Autumn Punch Pack (available as a bundle for 10% discount!!) It kind of reminds me of the autumn leaves falling.

Guy Card using Decorative Paper Layers

Welcome to my Corner of the World

Today’s card uses up some scraps of the World of Good Designer Series Paper (DSP) – I had been using this paper pack for another project and could not bear to waste scraps of this beautiful foiled paper.

I love to make these ‘panel’ cards – I simply take the DSP scraps and cut the background layers about an 1/8 larger (or sometimes a 1/4 larger if I want a wider boarder) I hear groans when I suggest cutting 1/8’s but with the Stampin’ UP! Paper Trimmer it is so easy to do because the marks are so clear for cutting.

This brand new Quite Curvy stamp set and coordinating Curvy Dies were launched yesterday. It allows us to make such pretty and delicate cards. I played around with them so that I could share my technique with you, they are very easy to use though it helps to have a little guidance 🙂

Sweet and Simple Inspirational Card

Welcome to my Corner of the World

Today’s card is another in my Sweet and Simple series where I have set myself a little challenge using a small amount of equipment and supplies – kind of like one of those cookery shows where you are given 3 or 4 ingredients and you have to turn it into a spectacular 4 course meal!

I think it meets my aim of using one stamp set, a couple of ink pads, an embellishment and a tool.

Healing Hugs ~ Get Well Soon Fun Fold

Welcome to my Corner of the World

An easy fun fold for today with a simple gatefold with a front panel, they look so impressive but so easy to do.

I used the Healing Hugs stamp set to create this ‘get well soon’ card in nice bold Night of Navy and Mango Melody colors. I think by simply changing out the greeting you could use this design for thank you, birthday or simply ‘just because’!

Just Saying Hello with Tasteful Touches

Welcome to my Corner of the World

I love to design my cards but there are times when I kinda draw a blank, either nothing comes to mind or too much comes to mind and I feel a bit overwhelmed. The Stampin’ UP! catalogs show us all the wonderful products available but did you know it is also a book of ideas? In fact when I first came across Stampin’ UP! in 2006 it was called an ‘Idea Book’ (and I still have that catalog in my stash!)

All that being said – I found today’s card tucked into those pages, I changed it a tiny bit (of course) but it is very close 🙂
