I am sharing the card I made for my sister-in-law’s birthday last month. She is not into frilly and ‘frou frou’ but I still wanted to make something that is feminine, so flowers and scalloped edges seemed to be the way to go.

The Flowers for Every Season DSP is exactly that – it does have pretty flowers ~ I simply chose one of the sheets then selected two of the colors within it, which turned out to be Misty Moonlight and Flirty Flamingo.

• Base Card: 8 x 5 1/2 Misty Moonlight Card ~ scored @ 4 1/4 & 6 1/4
• Layer 1: 5 1/4 x 1 1/4 Flower for Every Season DSP
• Layer 2: 5 1/4 x 4 Whisper White Card
• Layer 3: 5 1/4 x 1/4 Strip of Flower for Every Season DSP
• Ink Color: Flirty Flamingo and Misty Moonlight

I used the scalloped edge die from the Peony Dies to create the dainty edging to the front of the card and the strip of DSP, it gives such a feminine finish, don’t you think?

My stamping is very minimal, using the Good Morning Magnolia Stamp set for the greeting which is cut with the Story Label Punch then layered onto some Misty Moonlight card cut with the Label Me Lovely Punch, with a final bow from the coordinating 1/4 Misty Moonlight Ribbon.
