Red White and Blue Eastern Beauty ~ video tutorial

Back in early May, Stampin’ Up! did an early release on one of the new bundles from the 2017 – 2018 Annual catalog.  The Eastern Beauty Bundle included the stamp set, coordinating thinlet dies, card and ink pads in three of the new in-colors.  Needless to say I, like many other demonstrators fell on this set – it is beautiful and so very versatile and the rich tones of the new colors were a perfect foil for the stamps.  I have some I will be sharing in the coming days.

I was planning to make some cards for July 4th and the stamp set was sitting on my workbench so I picked it up with some Real Red and Night of Navy ink and this was the result!

Grown with Love ~ Stampin’ Up!

Flowers are my weakness, I am always drawn to those stamp sets with flowers, but as I explained in a post the other day – I ration myself otherwise I would have nothing but flowers in my stash.  So when I ordered a set the other week I deliberately chose a set that had flowers but other things as well – Grown with Love has a little cart, flower-pot and watering can as well as flowers and best yet it has coordinating dies which make it a snap to cut everything out with my Big Shot. More Bunch of Blossoms ~ Stampin’ Up! products

Earlier this week I shared a couple of cards with the two-step stampin’ technique using the  ‘Bunch of Blossoms’ stamp set.  I have a couple of cards today that uses the same stamp set using  ‘filler’ stamps to give a more subtle ‘watercolor’ effect,  As the stamp set is a photopolymer it is very easy to line up each of the layers – in fact you could even do three layers!  The set also has 5 beautiful sentiments in such a pretty font.  Continue reading

Two-step stampin’ is a really great technique and there are a number of stamp sets in the SU catalog that have been designed especially for this.  ‘Bunch of Blossoms’ is one of them.   You can use the outline stamp then a ‘filler’ one to give a crisp image or use both ‘filler’ stamps to give a more subtle ‘watercolor’ effect,  As the stamp set is a photopolymer it is very easy to line up each of the layers – in fact you could even do three layers!  The set also has 5 beautiful sentiments in such a pretty font.  I have two examples to share today. Card Challenge and new Sale-a-bration goodies!!

Earlier this  month I shared Craft Project Central’s ‘Creating Pretty Cards #68, where one of the designers for February (Monika Davis) designed a card sketch as an inspiration and  challenge for card crafters to create and share their creations (CDC offers prizes for winners 🙂 )

Thank You – swaps

Sale-a-bration  started on  Jan 4th, one of the first FREE stamp sets on my list was ‘So Very Much’………… cos it says thank  you – one of my most favorite phrases! plus I just love the script and the sheer size of the greeting!

Last weekend I went to Michigan to a training conference and the organiser asked all attendees to bring ‘swaps’ , as always this time of year, time is very tight so it had to be a simple project but with plenty of impact.
