Fun folds are one of my favorite types of card to make, I love the challenge and the sense of satisfaction when it is complete, often times the most complex looking of cards are a lot more straightforward to do than they look and that is the beauty of them!

I have said on many occasions that I struggle with cards for the fellas in my life…….. so imagine my delight when Stampin’ UP! introduced a new kit at our recent demonstrator get together called OnStage! The kit contains everything you need to make 8 cards, including envelopes, ink spot, clear block, embellishments, adhesives and an exclusive stamp set. Continue readingToday’s card has a bunch of techniques ~ heat embossing, dry embossing, die cutting, along with the Double Flap fancy fold. When it was finished I realized is an ultra feminine card with a bit of a vintage feel going on as well – that wasn’t the plan but that is how it turned out. The Abigail Rose decorative paper and Cottage Rose Stamp set seems to lend itself to the shabby chic/ vintage style so when I chose to use it with these colors perhaps it was a subconscious choice!!!

Continue readingI think you may have guessed that Splendid Thoughts Stamp Set with the coordinating Splendid Stems Dies is a firm favorite in my stash!. This must be the 6th or 7th card I have shared in the last couple of months.
Today I am using this bundle to demonstrate a die stenciling technique, where I have used the dies to create stencils which gives a really neat coloring technique.
