Thank you card using scraps of decorative paper and Layering Designs Vellum

Welcome to my Corner of the World

Today I am combining a new product – Vellum Layering Designs with one about to retire, Expressions in Ink decorative paper. I had a bunch of scraps of the decorative paper and not one to waste anything as pretty as this decided I was going to create some thank you cards, featuring those scraps.

The Vellum Layering Designs is in the Spring Mini Catalog (pg 33), a set of pre-printed 12 x 12 vellum sheets that make a very interesting background for my panels.

Flowing Flowers Thank You Card

Happy St Patrick’s Day !!

A pretty and very feminine Thank You card today, featuring the Flowing Flowers Stamp Set. The flower images are so delicate and detailed thanks to the DistINKtive design of each stamp, allowing depths of color by stamping just once. The set also has a great selection of greetings, perfect for making this a birthday or ‘Just Because’ type of card.

Big Happy Birthday

On Sunday I shared the Mini Cut and Emboss Machine which is currently available at 20% discount for the month of March. (click here to check this out) Today’s card uses the ‘mini’ with one of my favorite die sets – Stitched So Sweetly. Using the You’re a Peach Decorative Paper decided the colors on this card, this is a technique I use quite often – if Stampin’ UP! think the colors go well together…… then so do I

Sweet and Simple Tulip Birthday Card

Welcome to my Corner of the World

Today’s card is another in my Sweet and Simple series where I have set myself a little challenge using a small amount of equipment and supplies – kind of like one of those cookery shows where you are given 3 or 4 ingredients and you have to turn it into a spectacular 4 course meal! 

I think it meets my aim of using one stamp set, a couple of ink pads, an embellishment and a tool.
