Today I am combining a new product – Vellum Layering Designs with one about to retire, Expressions in Ink decorative paper. I had a bunch of scraps of the decorative paper and not one to waste anything as pretty as this decided I was going to create some thank you cards, featuring those scraps.

The Vellum Layering Designs is in the Spring Mini Catalog (pg 33), a set of pre-printed 12 x 12 vellum sheets that make a very interesting background for my panels.

• Base Card: 11 x 4 1/4 Thick Basic White Card
• Layer 1: 5 1/4 x 4 Vellum Layering Designs
• Layer 2: 3 3/8 x 3 Expressions in Ink DSP layered onto 3 1/2 x 3 1/8 Shaded Spruce Card
• Layer 3: 2 1/8 x 2 Expressions in Ink DSP layered onto 2 1/4 x 2 1/8 Old Olive Card
• Ink Color: Shaded Spruce

When I use up scraps I select one of the colors from the paper then cut a layer about 1/8 or 1/4″ larger that way the decorative paper really pops against the card base. The vellum is attached using a couple of Mini Glue dots which are hidden behind the panels. My greeting is from the Elegantly Said Stamp Set cut with the Label me Fancy Punch.
