Happy 4th everyone! Today’s card is inspired by a recent Stampin’ UP! event I attended remotely. It focused on the Splendid Day Suite of products that was launch just 3 short days ago on July 1st. The colors in this suite are just so soft and subtle making it a snap to create shabby chic – my special favorite being the Soft Sea Foam Seam Binding Ribbon!

I have been using one of the Sale-a-bration goodies, Daffodil Afternoon Decorative Paper with the Daffodil Daydream and Happy & Heartfelt Stamp Sets. The Daffodil outline in these stamps are perfect for coloring with Stampin Blends Alcohol Markers, which is a technique I am still working on to improve, which you will see in the video 🙂

Continue readingI love a fun fold card and I have a personal mission to ensure I used my decorative paper in my card making. Today’s card meets both of those plus I have a lovely thanksgiving card as a result, plus it will fit into a standard 5 3/4 x 4 3/8 envelope for easy posting!
I have also used several techniques that I have used before, coloring with Stampin’ Blends and heat embossing – if you scroll down a little you will see links to post and videos I have made about those……. enjoy!
Continue readingContinuing my journey to develop my Stampin Blends skills today I use a heat embossed image to color rather than an ink one. I created two different versions using the same stamp set and card layout then switched out my colors, so one is very traditional and the second …. well it is just a little different! Oh … and there is a video tutorial to go with it 🙂
Continue readingI am doing it again ~ using my Designer Series Paper!!! This time I have pared the Color and Contour Stamp Set with Harvest Meadow DSP.
Each time a new catalog is launched I look at Punches, Ribbon and then the DSP before anything else. Now you may be wondering what I mean by DSP………. basically it is double-sided decorated paper similar to that used for scrapbook layouts – and I have used it for this but it also works to decorate your handmade greeting cards.
