Share What You Love ~ 700 Posts and 503 followers!

It kind of slipped passed me that I had now  made over 700 posts on my blog!  But much more importantly I have hit 500+ followers – I am so thrilled that you would all choose to spend some time with me!

Last weekend I hosted  my annual FALL STAMPIN GETAWAY – I had the chance to spend the whole day sharing papercrafting with 20+ crafters.  One of the projects we made was a memory book designed in collaboration with my friend Elly from the UK – who came over to help prepare for and run the day.

Soft Sea Foam Christmas

I know there  is still some time before the Christmas holidays, but that time flies by so fast ~ who else can’t believe it is mid-October already?

So a little planning ahead is in order and today’s card is one I really love, using one of my new favorite colors, Soft Sea Foam paired with Mossy Meadow ~ not traditional Christmas colors I hear you say,  but  I do like to use contemporary ones.

Although I used a the greeting from the Star of Light stamp set the other features of the card are from  the Sprig Punch and embossing with the Blizzard Thinlets Die.,,,, yep – embossing with a die – who knew you could do that?

Black Ice Technique with Video Tutorial

Time to share a technique ~ Black Ice.  It creates a great focal point to a card with a really unusual finish.  As this is an embossing technique it also gave me a chance to pull out my Heat Gun which has been sadly neglected for a while 🙂

Looking at the color combination I think this would make for a great card for the guys in our lives and the second sample with a little flower and bow would be great for a feminine card.

Fall ~ Ink & Share Scrapbook Blog Hop

Welcome to the 3rd in Ink & Share Scrapbook blog hop,  I am delighted to be taking part  again.  You will have noticed a change to our ‘livery’ but we are the same group of international demonstrators sharing our ideas with you.

You will have either arrived from  Jo Blackman’s post or starting here ~ either way WELCOME .   This month’s theme is  FALL  ~ we are just about to start fall here in North Texas, the weather is so unpredictable that it could last until next spring or we could get a a viscous winter with ice storms.

Once again I have chosen to use a 12 x 12 page – mainly because Stampin’ UP! has 12 x 12 card stock in all its colors which gives me a fantastic choice but also because they have the 12 x 12 Page Protectors and Albums.

Welcome to my Corner of the World

I am about to celebrate my 8th anniversary as a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator and today I am sharing my 150th video.  It has taken me a while to get to this point as I always try to make sure that I share something that is meaningful and helpful rather than just for the sake of posting a video.

Today I am sharing my craft room, how I have set it up and some ideas for storage.

Pop of Petals and Thankful Thoughts

I have become addicted to cards with a Z fold of some kind, this must be the 8th or 9th one I have created in the last couple of months!  This one is in landscape format and I used the Pop of Petals Stamp Set to create my own Designer Series Paper.

I really love the clean lines and fresh colors of this card, but it would work in just about any color combination you can think of – why not give it a go and create your own DSP!
