You will have either arrived from Janey’s post or starting here ~ either way WELCOME . This month’s theme is Fancy Folds and I have chosen a Center Easel card once again featuring the Morning Magnolia Suite of Products along with some Stampin’ Blends
Vibrant Vases Stamp Set gives you the chance to build up some very pretty designs, it also has the coordinating Vases Builder Punch, although I have not used it on this card it is a very useful punch to have.
Today’s card is a simple card with a vase of flowers front and center, it also uses a blender pen technique to color the flowers. I have used one of the sentiments which will work for a lot of occasions, birthday, thank you, thinking of you…. because any of these are ‘just for you’ 🙂
The choice of colors for today’s card was one of those happy accidents – inspired by the Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots (pg 177 of Annual catalog) which fell out of the little box I had stored them in – the Lovely Lipstick ones in particular attracted me, although, to be honest they look more like Melon Mambo to me and that is the color I chose to pair with one of the new in-colors, Pretty Peacock which is just perfect for the stamp set I chose!
The Royal Peacock Stamp set has been so very popular and I am sure I will be sharing more cards with it but today it is the stamp that puts highlights on the peacocks tail that is the focus of my card, along with some gold heat embossing.
On Monday I introduced you to the Daisy Lane Stamp Set and Punch Bundle and promised another card made with it, this time a fancy fold called a Slider Pop Up Card.
The decsion for my color choices was made when I chose to use the Garden Lane Designer Series Paper – which uses 5 of the different greens available in the Stampin’ UP! color families.
Daisy’s are such cheerful flowers, I have a Shasta Daisy bush in my garden which produces flowers all summer long. I also have a South African Daisy which has bright yellow petals and a deep purple center – very dramatic…. and finally one of my Yorkie’s is also called Daisy, so you could say that daisys are a big part of my life!
Today’s card uses the Daisy Lane Stamp set along with a couple of my favorite punches, make sure you come visit me again on Wednesday when I have another card to share using the full Daisy Lane Bundle.
Today I am late with my post – to be honest I am a couple of days late – but I have a good reason!
On Saturday evening our house was struck by lightening! A big flash, bang and the strong smell of ozone – it fried our cable service (internet, TV), all the switching powers supplies for various electronic devices ( including our phone service!) then a TV and the dishwasher! So we have spent the last couple of days piecing our lives back together – Friday we go shop for a dishwasher! 🙂
I have a video technique to share today which shows a simple but very effective technique – sponging – I use it a lot in my cards and other projects and I think it benefits from revisiting from time-to-time.

Once again I have chosen to use a 12 x 12 page – mainly because Stampin’ UP! has 12 x 12 card stock in all its colors which gives me a fantastic choice but also because they have the 12 x 12 Page Protectors and Albums.
It is so easy to get carried away with all the new goodies we have to choose from in the new 2019 – 2020 Stampin’ UP! catalog and I have shared some of them over the last couple of weeks.
There are some particular favorite stamp sets that carried over from last year and one of them is Dandelion Wishes. A few months ago I ‘tripped over’ the color combination of Cajun Craze and Petal Pink – it fascinated me then and still does today, so my card features this combination along with another favorite – a simple Z-fold card.
I have been sharing the new 2019 – 2021 In-colors and now it is the turn of some of the new products. I used the Above the Clouds Stamp Set today, which has the coordinating Hot Air Balloon punch to cut out that cut hot air balloon and its little basket, each of the products are available separately but if you buy the bundle you will save 10% – check out the link below!
I think the greeting on this one would be perfect for a graduation card, I know that most graduations are over for this year in the US but in the UK school is still very much in and not due to finish for the summer holidays until late July – so there is still time to make a card if you are in the UK and looking for some inspiration.
