Free as a Bird, Blender Pens and Monster Bash DSP.

welcome back to my corner of the world.

Today’s card comes with a video sharing a technique using Blender Pens and Watercolor Pencils.  I made the card for a friend of mine who celebrated a birthday in August.

A perk of being a demonstrator is being about to get my hands on goodies about a month before the 2019 Holiday Catalog goes live and I had just received a delivery from Stampin’ UP! with my pre-order .  One of the new Halloween Designer Series Papers – Monster Bash –  has a strong Halloween theme BUT if you flip the paper over it has more general theme – perfect for a bunch of other occasions – so that was the starting point for this card, which you might not have thought would have gone with the Free as a Bird Stamp Set.

Ink & Share Scrapbook Blog Hop ~ Summer

Welcome to the  Ink & Share Scrapbook blog hop,  we are  group of international Stampin UP! demonstrators sharing our ideas and creativity with you.

You will have either arrived from  Rochelle’s  post or starting here ~ either way WELCOME.  This month we have a  ‘Summer ‘  theme.  Summer always evokes flowers in my mind so I focused on using the flower stamp sets and punches Stampin’ Up has available.

Once again I have chosen to use a 12 x 12 page – mainly because Stampin’ UP! has 12 x 12 card stock in all its colors which gives me a fantastic choice but also because they have the 12 x 12 Page Protectors and Albums.

The Art of Stampin’ off with Seaside Notions – Video Tutorial

Hello Paper Crafting Friends ~ welcome back to my corner of the world.

Time for another technique today ~ Stamping techniques are simply ways to use your stamping supplies with a different approach to create a fun effect.

Stampin’ off gives you lighter shades of your ink color, giving you lots more flexibility to create texture on your cards/scrapbook pages.  I have used the Seaside Notions Stamp Set to make today’s card which was for my eldest step-sons birthday last week

Friends Forever ~ Happy Tails from Stampin’ UP!

Hello Paper Crafting Friends ~ welcome back to my corner of the world.

We were away on holiday (vacation) last week and our dear, sweet puppies, Daisy Mae and CiCi went to stay with some friends – who spoiled them rotten I am sure!  But I did so miss them and their little ways.  Needless to say when we got home they gave us a wonderful welcome – then Daisy Mae promptly gave us the ‘cold shoulder’ as punishment for leaving her!

So our ‘girls’ are our friends forever and today’s card is just for them with a lovely doggie theme from the Happy Tails Stamp set

Cuckoo for You

Hello Paper Crafting Friends ~ welcome back to my corner of the world.

How do you feel about interactive cards?  I think they are great, especially if you can make them for children and particularly for the fellas in our lives – they do like something ‘mechanical’ or at least my fella does!

Admittedly there is some extra work need to make them but when you have the Cuckoo for You Bundle – well it just makes it so gosh darn easy!  Today I am sharing a video from Stampin’ UP! that shows you how to use this bundle to create a great card….. I am thinking that this could also make a simply perfect Christmas card as well!

Using Stampin’ Markers to Ink Stamps with Beauty Abounds Stamp Set + Video Tutorial!

Hello Paper Crafting Friends ~ welcome back to my corner of the world.

Time for another stampin’ technique ~ today I am going to be using a Stampin Marker to ink up one of the stamps on my card.  This is great if you don’t have the stamp pad in the color you want to use but you do have the marker.

I have paired the Beauty Abounds stamp set with Mint Macaron and Purple Posy – I don’t have the Purple Posy ink pad yet but I do have the marker.  This stamp set has a really beautiful, swirly, stem of flowers and leaves – a perfect focal point for my card.
