Creating a Calendar Card with Days to Remember – Video Tutorial

Welcome to my Corner of the World

For the last 5 or 6 years I have created a flip over calendar using various Stampin’ UP! products, however the calendar part always defeated me in trimming and lining everything up – so I would buy the calendar parts. This year Stampin’ UP! introduced the Days to Remember Stamp Set which makes the whole process of stamping them ‘oh so very easy’ . Today I share a video on how I use this stamp set to create a calendar card and give you a sneak peak of my flip over calendar for 2022.

Peaceful Place ~ Layered Panel Card Technique

Welcome to my Corner of the World

Stampin’ UP! has so many beautiful decorative papers available to us papercrafters. The Peaceful Place Specialty Designer Paper has some really stunning images that just cry out to be the center piece of your Christmas Cards.

As I explain in the video, there is one design in the pack that has the same image 4 times on one sheet of 12 x 12, creating a sheet 6 x 6 which I was not sure what to do with. I decided to use it to create 2 cards using a technique I call a Layered Panel – this post explains how I work out the cutting and sizes of layers to create 2 different layouts.

Embossed Pretty Pumpkins – Stampin Blends Technique # 7

Welcome to my Corner of the World

Continuing my journey to develop my Stampin Blends skills today I use a heat embossed image to color rather than an ink one. I created two different versions using the same stamp set and card layout then switched out my colors, so one is very traditional and the second …. well it is just a little different! Welcome to my Corner of the World

I promised to share my voyage in learning how to use Stampin’ Blends. In this 6th video in the series, I share how to color ribbon to match your project and features the utterly cute Nuts about Squirrels Stamp Set.

I have shared before that often my ribbon drawer is the starting point for choosing colors for my projects but sometimes there just isn’t the color I need ! No problem ~ I can color up some of my own! As I explain in my video, today’s card is to welcome my great-niece into the family and I was looking for something cute but not pink so Pale Papaya and Calypso Coral it is and although I designed it for a new baby I think it would work for just about any occasion!
