Black Ice Technique with Video Tutorial

Time to share a technique ~ Black Ice.  It creates a great focal point to a card with a really unusual finish.  As this is an embossing technique it also gave me a chance to pull out my Heat Gun which has been sadly neglected for a while 🙂

Looking at the color combination I think this would make for a great card for the guys in our lives and the second sample with a little flower and bow would be great for a feminine card.

Welcome to my Corner of the World

I am about to celebrate my 8th anniversary as a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator and today I am sharing my 150th video.  It has taken me a while to get to this point as I always try to make sure that I share something that is meaningful and helpful rather than just for the sake of posting a video.

Today I am sharing my craft room, how I have set it up and some ideas for storage.

Stamparatus ~ Using Background Stamps Video Tutorial

This is the seventh of my videos on techniques using the Stamparatus and it features using the large background stamps particularly the Sheet Music Background Stamp.

The Stamparatus is Stampin’ UP!’s latest tool  and an absolute must have for all stampers.  It helps you perfectly align your stamp images, stamp multiples of the same project quickly and accurately and gets complete ink coverage – ‘cos you can do a ‘do-over’ as my video today will show.

Pop of Petals with Vellum and Wink of Stella Technique

I have been using Vellum Card quite a bit in my projects recently and I wanted to show how it can be stamped on and used as an embellishment as well as a layer.  As so often happens when I am creating I ‘lost’ something on my workbench (of course it was right under my nose!) but I spent a few minutes searching for it and came across my ‘Wink of Stella‘ ~ now that is something that I have not used for some time.

Along with the Pop of Petals Stamp set, I used both of these beauties to create today’s card.  If you scroll down a little way you will also see the video showing how I used the Wink of Stella on the Vellum.

I am sharing two versions of the same card, made exactly the same accept one version uses Petal Pink card and the other Blackberry Bliss card.

Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet – hints and tips

On page 213 of the 2018 – 2019 Stampin’ UP! annual catalog are a variety of adhesives and one that is probably overlooked a lot but is one of the most useful ~ Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet,  Today’s card is made with the adhesive sheet and there is a video giving you some ideas on how to use it as well as some tips for using it successfully.

My card features the Beautiful You Stamp set and my one of my favorites of the new colors, Soft Sea Foam which I have partnered with Merry Merlot – which made a great combination (even if it did not appear so at first!)

Everyday Label Punch and Delightfully Detailed Laser-cut Specialty Paper ~ Video

I love to use flowers in my cards and to be fair I am a big fan of ‘dainty’ as well.  The Delightfully Detailed Laser-cut specialty paper appealed to me the first time I saw it at Stampin’ UP!’s demonstrator event way back at the beginning of April – which is both flowery and dainty.

Stampin’ UP! also introduced a new stamp set called Itty Bitty Greetings – which is also small and dainty, so naturally would work with the lovely lacy specialty paper – but I didn’t have a punch that complimented the greeting I chose to use (and I have them all!!) so I needed to get a little inventive.
