I have chosen to make an 8 x 6 layout today ~ I am continuing to build up my ‘small’ scrapbook, and have done a double page layout for this months hop. I think the smaller size is just a little different ~ not everyone is into the larger pages and a smaller one is just a bit more manageable.

Happy 4th everyone! Today’s card is inspired by a recent Stampin’ UP! event I attended remotely. It focused on the Splendid Day Suite of products that was launch just 3 short days ago on July 1st. The colors in this suite are just so soft and subtle making it a snap to create shabby chic – my special favorite being the Soft Sea Foam Seam Binding Ribbon!

We are on the verge of wedding season and I have several folks who are planning their ‘I do’ day over the coming months. Wherever possible I like to try to pick up on the wedding colors for the cards I make and send, however some weddings choose the neutral white or ivory. Today’s card is one that would work for any wedding theme as it is ivory with a little touch of gold.

If you follow my blog regularly you will know that I love flowers, they are always the first things I think of when making a card or designing a scrapbook layout. So it will not surprise you that as I write this I am waiting on the delivery of the Pansy Petals Suite from the new 2021 -2022 Stampin’ UP! Catalog – this is simply full of flowers and I am counting the days until it arrives!

Cheers to the New Year

Gosh, the last day of the year and the decade! Cannot believe that tomorrow we will be in the Twenties ~ will they be roaring like the last century’s were? Today’s card is perfect for a New Years celebration but it would also be great for an anniversary, graduation, engagement, wedding … lots of possibilites!

So to all my readers, customers, friends and family, near and far. I wish you all a very happy, peaceful and prosperous New Year. Let’s ring in the new decade with hope and an open heart. Wish each other well and mean it. Help those who need it and accept help when offered. Let’s make it an amazing 2020!!!

Woven Heirlooms ~ Vintage Anniversary Card.

Hello Paper Crafting Friends ~ welcome back to my corner of the world.

I created today’s card for my brother and sister-in-laws 23rd wedding anniversary -with the  Woven Heirlooms  Stamp Set and the coordinating Heirloom Frames Dies and 3D Embossing Folders.

I have tried to give the card a vintage look, Roccoco Rose and Sahara Sand and the 4 texture stamps in the set has some pretty curly shapes which are perfect for vintage along with some sponging and Basic Jewel Pearls.

Introducing Rococo Rose with Woven Heirlooms

My apologies for being a day late with my post – it has been a busy week as I had my catalog launch on Thursday with over 20 of my wonderful and supportive customers who came to look at new products, do some make and takes and collect their own precious copy of the new catalog!

Our next new color for 2019 – 2021 is Rococo Rose ~ a gentle pink my sweet ol’ Mum would have called Ashes of Roses.  I have paired it with one of the new stamp sets – Woven Heirlooms, one of the first stamp sets on my list when I opened the new catalog! a new coordinating  ribbon and the Bird Ballad Trinkets.

This is the second of the new In-Colors and they are all so very pretty – you can get your hands on a set if you would like to join in my ink and color share, where you can build up your collection over the next few months without breaking the bank – click here for more info

So Hoppy Together ~ Froggy Valentine

I shared a card using the So Hoppy Together Stamp Set last week – he is such a cute little guy – I could not resist using this set again ~ this time as a valentine card, since we are just a few weeks shy of February 14th, come to think of it ~ this may just be perfect for an anniversary, engagement or even a wedding card!
