This time next week we shall be celebrating Christmas Day – I have decorated my house (3 Christmas trees) and my husband had decorated the front garden. Practically all the decorations we have put up are ‘shop bought’ which is strange when I spend most of my time ‘crafting’ but it true when they say ‘ the shoe-makers children are the last ones to get shoes’!!! My house is usually the last to get hand made decor – but I do have a couple of banners which I made and have displayed.
Mistletoe and Holly – November Paper Pumpkin
Back in November I shared the opening of that month’s paper pumpkin kit ~ Mistletoe and Holly ~ with a couple of videos and also launched my Facebook page ‘Cindy’s Pumpkin Patch ‘ where I shared each of the projects I made using the supplies within the kit and a few bits and pieces from my ‘stash’. The kit has supplies to make 10 cards – after I played around I finished with 9 cards, and 2 gift tags and I had a blast doing it!
I had a lot of fun using the supplies in slightly different ways and this post pulls together all the examples and links to the videos.
Mystery Stamp-a-long ~ World of Dreams
Last week my Stampin’ Up! Gramma, Sharon, organised a Mystery Stamp-a-long via Facebook. It was an hour long virtual event from the comfort of my own study.
She gave us a brief list of what to have on hand, cardstock, Designer Series Paper, coordinating ink, stamp set (with pictures and words) and some embellishments – that was all the info we had to go on until the stamp-a-long started.
Festive Wreath with the Festive Flower Builder Punch from Stampin’ Up!
When the Holiday Mini catalog was given to us at the Stampin Up! Inspire, Create, Share event in July one of the first things that took my eye was the Festive Flower Builder Punch. Those of you who know me know that after ‘shiny’ stuff (glitter, glimmer paper, pearls, sequins and rhinestones – to name but a few!) flowers are my next favorite things. Back in October I finally had some time to work on an idea for a home decor piece. I share it with you today – along with a video!
Stampin’ Up! Clearance Sale!!!!!!
Oh my gosh!!!! I can’t believe this sale, and I’ve never seen anything like it!
A few weeks ago, Stampin’ Up! for the first time ever, announced retiring products from a Holiday catalogue, but even better than that, now they’ve added some of them into a year end sale and slashed the prices, some up to 60% off!!!!. But making the deal even sweeter is that they’ve brought past goodies out of retirement and added them too!
There is ribbon, Designer Series Paper, Punches, embossing folders, embellishments – and stamp sets.
New events added to calendar
I have updated my calendar of events with my classes and stamp camps.
There are lots of new things to choose from, so click on the ‘Calendar’ tab at the top of the page and let me know what which class(es) you would like join me.
For the New Year I have introduced a new Techniques Class, where each month we will learn 2 new techniques, make a project using the technique and build up a Techniques Notebook.
If you’d like any of the supplies, to shop, or to get a catalog, please feel free to contact me, and if you’re thinking of joining Stampin’ Up! and my team I’d most definitely like to hear from you.
Lots of Joy – One Sheet Wonder
Last week I shared a One Sheet Wonder project with you. The theme for those cards was for a birthday – since we are in the run up to Christmas I decided to share a Christmas themed set. This uses exactly the same layout as the birthday cards but with different colors and decoration.
Thanksgiving Dinner Favors
I love to make 3D items and I love chocolate – so to combine the two is an extra special treat. I made a dozen of these little beauties for Thanksgiving lunch last week and each contained about 5 – 6 chocolates ranging from Ghiridelli Squares to Hershey’s Kisses.
Happy Birthday – One Sheet Wonder
Recently I have shared ideas for Thanksgiving and Christmas – and here we are in the thick of Holiday preparations! But you know, there are still folks who have birthdays this time of year ……. have you tried to find a birthday card in the stores? – there are some but not a great selection BUT when you make your own cards you can create just the perfect card for the person celebrating!
In-color Ink and Card Share ~ Thank you
Saying thank you…………….
When the new 2015 – 2016 Annual Catalog was released in June we had a new batch of ‘in-colors’ ~ Watermelon Wonder, Cucumber Crush, Delightful Dijon, Mint Macaron and Tip Top Taupe – all gorgeous colors that work well with the other colors in the Stampin’ Up! family.
Sometimes it can be a little costly to make the investment at one time so hosting a ‘share’ allows my wonderful customers to build up their collection without breaking the bank!
