I seem to start a lot of my posts expressing my amazement on where we are in the year ~ next week will be Thanksgiving here in the US!! Today’s card uses the Pretty Pumpkin Stamp Set pairing Bermuda Bay with Soft Seafoam ~ some non-traditional colors which I think work very well together if you are looking to create something a little unusual.

Embossed Pretty Pumpkins – Stampin Blends Technique # 7

Continuing my journey to develop my Stampin Blends skills today I use a heat embossed image to color rather than an ink one. I created two different versions using the same stamp set and card layout then switched out my colors, so one is very traditional and the second …. well it is just a little different! You will have either arrived from Deb Naylor’s  post or starting here ~ either way WELCOME . This month’s theme is CHRISTMAS ~ this is my first Christmas card for 2019!

We are still having 90+F temperatures here in North Texas and it is a little difficult to think of Christmas so I have gone with contemporary colors that sound ‘summery’ ~ Bermuda Bay and Coastal Cabana!

Stamp Set of the Month to the rescue

You cannot always get notice of the need for a card, so having some ‘cards to hand’ is always a good thing.  We had a bereavement in my husband’s family, as we live so far away, we will not be able to attend the services but at least we can let them know we are  thinking of them.

Last July’s stamp set of the month was Flowering Flourishes and  I made a  series of cards which did not have any sentiment so could be used for most any occasion.

Christmas Tags

I rarely wrap Christmas presents these days, preferring to use a decorated bag with fistfuls of tissue paper! In the days before I made cards, I would find myself running out of gift tags (usually on Christmas Eve when the shops had all closed!) so in the last few days I have been making some tags ready for December.
