Blending Brushes and Masks Video Tutorial

Welcome to my Corner of the World

There are different ways to use our inks, stamping images and greetings is one way, but there is also using masks (stencils) along with Blending Brushes to create a very soft image. I have gone to my favorite Go To Greetings Stamp Set for my message and chosen to use the thank you stamp however you could choose one of the other greetings to create a birthday, thinking of you or just a note ~ the card design will work for all of them.

Embossing Paste Stenciling ~ Any Occasion Card

At a recent class I was asked by my card crafting ladies to share how to use the two types of Embossing Paste that Stampin’ UP! offer. It is a fun product to work with and while you can use any of the ready made masks/stencils available in the catalogs, it is fun to make your own! I used the Split Card Texture Dies to create mine then added some heat embossing on vellum and a little vintage’ing as well – so today’s card is packed with techniques!

Dainty Flowers with Ranunculus Romance Shabby Chic Card

I have made no secret that Shabby Chic / Vintage style project have become a particular favorite of mine, the Ranunculus Romance Stamp Set along with the Dainty Flowers decorative paper are a great starting place for this style. Split Card Textures Friendship Card Video Tuorial

Today I have a bit of a shabby chic/vintage feel to my card, I have used the Split Card Texture Dies to create a stencil then broke out the Blending Brushes and got to work with some Soft Suede Ink. I did not set out to create shabby chic, but the colors then using Distress Gold Specialty Paper kinda turned it into one! Go with the flow I say!
