Welcome to my Corner of the World
I am not good with cute cards and struggle when it comes to making cards for my grand-daughters and great nieces and nephew! However with the help of the Sweet Songbirds Stamp Set with the coordinating Songbird Builder Punch I have used in todays card, they makes ‘cute’ very easy to do!
- Base Card: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Basic White Thick Card ~ scored @ 4 1/4
- Layer 1: 5 1/4 x 4 Flirty Flamingo Card
- Layer 2: 5 x 3 3/4 Basic White Card
- Ink Color: Flirty Flamingo, Early Expresso, Soft Suede, Old Olive and Balmy Blue
I started with Balmy Blue ink and a Blending Brush to add some ‘sky’ ,then added the greeting and simply built up the branch, leaves and his little feet. When stamped and punched out I was able to attach the little songbird with a couple of Stampin Dimensionals so that his feet showed in just the right place!
The stamp set has greetings that are just perfect for a birthday and welcoming a new baby as well as the thank you one I have used here, by simply changing out the greetings and colors this would work for several occasions.
