Hello Friend – 2 Step Stampin’ Card Idea

Today’s card features the Queen Anne’s Lace Stamp Set, this has some very dainty flowery images and 6 great greetings in a lovely script – those who follow me know that I do love nice lettering :-). I chose to use the ‘Hello Friend’ one for this card as I think that this kind of card can be used for practically any occasion – wouldn’t it be lovely to open an envelope and find a simple and pretty hello inside!

Once again my color choices were decided by my ribbon drawer, I wanted to use the elegant Vanilla Metallic Edged ribbon, so then chose Vanilla for my card with Cinnamon Cider and Petal Pink to coordinate.

A couple of weeks ago I participated in a scrapbook blog hop, we had a free hand for the theme and I chose to do one for FAMILY. It was a cold and damp day when I designed the page and made me wish for spring so I pulled out some soft spring colors and the DistINKtive style Gorgeous Posies Stamp Set.

I just loved that page when it was finished, so decided to use the same design and colors, and that is what I am sharing today, it also shows scrapbook pages can inspire cards and vice versa!

Creating a frame with Gilded Leafing Embellishment.

Last week I shared an embossing technique using the new and beautiful Gilded Leafing Embellishment, this gives the most fantastic effect but is oh, so easy to do. Today I have another technique using double sided Tear and Tape to create a frame to make your card shine out!

I changed the color combination for the card in my video, just to show how different combinations look. We are just a couple of weeks away from Valentine’s Day – it just seems a few days that we were celebrating Christmas!

Today’s card uses the Touched My Heart Stamp Set which is one of the sets you can get for free for hosting a party or if you place an order for $150 of Stampin UP goodies! I have been surprised on how versatile it has been, it has a beautiful heart stamp with leaves twisting and curling around it just perfect for Valentine or maybe a wedding or anniversary card. I have paired it with the Meant to Be Stamp set for my greeting.

When the Stampin’ UP! Jan – June 2021 Mini Catalog came out in December there was a new product – Gilded Leafing Embellishment, a beautiful pot containing delicate and wispy pieces of a gold colored foil – which was bright and sparkly and I just love bright and sparkly!

I am working on a series of posts and videos sharing various designs and techniques for using this wonderful product – today shows a piece of gilded card which has been dry embossed …… stunning!

I just love the Touched My Heart Stamp Set, I have used it for many different designs – including a Valentine Card, but today I am sharing a sympathy card. I think the combination of Purple Posy and Gray Granite work very well together for this type of card.

I made this card earlier this year, I just love this little guy and chose colors I thought would appeal to the littlies in our lives. It uses a two-step stampin’ technique and to ensure I lined everything up properly I used my Stamparatus.

I think if you change out the greeting it would make a fantastic new baby card or even an anniversary card – the possibilities are endless.
