I have used the Forever Fern Stamp Set such a lot – I love those leaves and there are some lovely greetings to go along with them. Today I have paired it with the Bloom Where You’re Planted Decorative Paper, which itself has lots of leafy designs that work well with the stamps.

The ‘to a friend that makes me smile’ greeting is just so lovely – it can work for a birthday, thinking of you, get well or just because card – it just covers a host of different occasions.

Welcome to my Corner of the World

So here we are in September, back in the UK things would start to be cooling down, the nights drawing in and there would be misty mornings. Not so in North Texas ~ after living here for 20 years the only thing there is in common is the days are getting shorter, but they are still hot and dry!

In the early part of last December I had a class to create a flip over calendar, everyone loved it and made me promise we will do another later this year! I thought I might start each month this year by posting the page for that month, so today I share, September which has vibrant Sunflowers!

Christmas Tags

Wetlands Birthday Card

Today is my dear husband’s birthday, he is so very supportive of me and all I want to do and puts up with a lot missed meals, extra dog walking duties and a houseful of happy stampers when he gets home from a long day. His main hobby is wildlife photography and so I chose to use the Wetlands Stamp Set from Stampin’ Up! for his birthday card, this is a great set and perfect for the guys in our lives. Girl Scout Cookie Card

Those of you who have been following my blog regularly will know I love punch art. The Girl Scout cookie season has just come to an end and it reminded me of a project I did for last years’ cookie season. I was asked by a local troupe of Girl Scouts if I would help them work toward getting their ‘Arts and Crafts’ patch and their leader thought it would be a great idea for them to make thank-you cards featuring a cookie…. this is what I came up with….. Decorated Gift Bag and Tissue

This time of year we are wrapping gifts in preparation for the Big Day. I gave up wrapping in paper several years ago…. the shapes were too weird to wrap neatly or the parcels looked too lumpy and unappetising!. I started to use gift bags and tissue paper, a much quicker and easier (and neater!) solution.

Gift bags and tissue can be expensive so I buy plain bags from the craft stores and plain tissue from the dollar store ( 40 sheets for $1) Then I get out my inks and stamp sets and decorate to my hearts’ content.

I have a number of hostess gifts this year so this is the bag/tissue combination I have been working on today…..

The stamp set is Joyful Christmas and I used Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green and Crushed Curry inks. Now I have some lovely, elegant gifts to take with me.

I hope this gives you an idea for your future gift wrapping……..
