Welcome to my Corner of the World

Each month I take part in a Scrapbook hop,  I recognize not everyone is into scrapbooking so I try to take some elements from my layout to create a card to show how Stampin’ UP! products can be used for both card making and scrapbook pages.

January’s hop had had us using products from the Jan – April 2023 Mini catalog (check it out here) and I chose to use one of the new bundles called Around the Bend. I think this would make an wonderful card for any occasion – ‘Hello There’ is just perfect for this!

I have chosen to make an 8 x 6 layout today ~ I have been building up a ‘small’ scrapbook in the last year or so, just to be a little different but also to use the Memories and More Basic Black 6 x 8 Album – which is super cute

Contempory, Fun Fold Christmas Card Idea

Welcome to my Corner of the World

While I love the traditional red and green colors of Christmas, I sometimes like to pull a few different ones into cards – today I have gone with greens, a traditional Shaded Spruce and paired it with Parakeet Party, then added an easy funfold. To add a little seasonal festiveness I have used the pretty Wintry Embossing Folder and some gold ribbon!

Nature’s Prints Bundle featuring Distressed Gold Paper

In an earlier post I introduced the Nature’s Prints Stamp Set with coordinating Natural Prints Dies. As I was sharing the dies I made a comment about the beautiful wreath die and how I would be making use of it in very short order. So today’s card does just that using one of the new specialty papers – Distressed Gold – which is absolutely stunning.

Today’s card is a celebration card, I have used birthday but it would work equally as well for graduation or even a Father’s Day card. The Wish For Everything Stamp Set allows you to build up a greeting to meet whatever occasion you are celebrating.

Butterflies and Flowers Stencil Celebration Card

I have enjoyed sharing the Butterflies and Flowers Layering Decorative Masks, today’s card uses one of the masks that cover the quarter sheet of Basic White Card to create a very pretty background.

I have also used the Happy and Heartfelt Stamp Set for my greeting, this stamp set has 15 greetings in a great font, covering many different occasions and it may have escaped your notice!

Thank you card using scraps of decorative paper and Layering Designs Vellum

Today I am combining a new product – Vellum Layering Designs with one about to retire, Expressions in Ink decorative paper. I had a bunch of scraps of the decorative paper and not one to waste anything as pretty as this decided I was going to create some thank you cards, featuring those scraps.

The Vellum Layering Designs is in the Spring Mini Catalog (pg 33), a set of pre-printed 12 x 12 vellum sheets that make a very interesting background for my panels.
