We are on the verge of wedding season and I have several folks who are planning their ‘I do’ day over the coming months. Wherever possible I like to try to pick up on the wedding colors for the cards I make and send, however some weddings choose the neutral white or ivory. Today’s card is one that would work for any wedding theme as it is ivory with a little touch of gold.

Slimline Tri-Fold Birthday Card

Today’s card was made for a very special friend, another UK ex-pat who I have known long before we both moved to the US. I was unable to visit her for 3 years, but this year I got to celebrate her birthday with her in PA – so naturally an extra-special card was needed!

I used a number of different techniques, sponging, embossing, die-cutting as well as some of the particularly luxurious materials , such as Gold Foil, Shimmer Vellum and Gilded Leaf embellishment

Faux Watercolor Technique with Partial Embossing.

I have a few techniques to share with just one card!! The first one is a faux watercolor technique using different ink colors, partial dry embossing where some parts of the card are embossed and others are not and as a finale – how to use your punch to create an alternate size label!
