In case you haven’t heard the news, an old Stampin’ Up! standby has retired: SNAIL Adhesive. But don’t be sad—because they are replacing it with a product that is even better and stronger: SEAL and SEAL+ Adhesive.
These are available now – check out page 162 of the 2020 – 2021 Annual Stampin’ UP! catlog – we shall be using this at upcoming classes, stamp camps and card buffets.
When Stampin’ UP! gave us a heads up on the new 2020 – 2022 In-colors I knew that Misty Moonlight would be my favorite! For a start off its blue ~ I love blue, next it is a nice soft medium dark blue – which works in so well with the other blues in the SU family.
Today’s card is another in my Sweet and Simple series where I have set myself a little challenge using a small amount of equipment and supplies – kind of like one of those cookery shows where you are given 3 or 4 ingredients and you have to turn it into a spectacular 4 course meal! I think it meets my aim of using one stamp set, a couple of ink pads, an embellishment and a tool – which is my Paper Trimmer.
I joined Stampin’ UP! as a demontrator in November 2010 – it was one of the best decisions I made. It allowed me to express my creativity using high quality, coordinating products. It has also allowed me to meet new people with whom I have become friends.
I believe in sharing what I do and introducing people to card crafting and seeing the joy on their face when they create their first card. I chose to develop a business for myself but that is not a requirement, read on for some more information 🙂
I was asked the other day what the difference was between ‘Cling’ stamps and ‘Photopolymer’ Stamps – and that is a very good question. After nearly 10 years as an SU demo I tend to forget there are folks that are new to this wonderful craft!
Basically they each do the same job – produces beautiful images for your crafting delight, they are made from different materials you just handled them a little differently. So today’s post explains how to handle them, attach labels, attach to acrylic blocks and keep them clean.

Welcome to June! I often share where my inspiration comes from – today my color combination is from a scarf I wear as an accent during the winter months (too hot to wear scarves during North Texas summer months) I was putting it on one day and recognized Petal Pink then Smoky Slate and so today’s card was born!
I have used a very simple, asymmetric, fold that showcases the Positive Thoughts Stamp Set along with the stunning Petal Pink Organdy Stripped Ribbon which made me fall in love with Petal Pink in the first place!

On May 21st Stampin’ UP! held a Day of Service and invited as many people to join in with them as could get onto the facebook page. They provided instructions with a template and used the Share Sunshine PDF – which is stuffed full of greetings reflecting encouraging sayings perfect for lifting the spirits of folks while we are coping with the restrictions to keep us all safe during the terrible COVID 19 pandemic. You can still purchase the Share Sunshine, it will be available until June 2nd ~ ALL proceeds go to a COVID 19 fund!! So far they have raised over $200,000!!!
I made 20 cards from the supplies – all of them different, using the Woven Threads DSP, lots of embellishments and some punches. They have all now been distributed to customers and friends.:-) #ShareSunshine
