Welcome to my Corner of the World

Continuing my exploration of Stampin Blends techniques I am using them to feature the Spotlight Technique. I am also using this as an opportunity to use one of my FREE Sale-a-bration goodies – Beautifully Penned Designer Series Paper, which is available for a $50 product order until the end of September. At the bottom of this post there is a supply list – if you place an order for the Stampin Blends, card, dies, ribbon and In-color Jewels you too, can get this paper for free 🙂

Blends Easy Techniques # 4 – Bluebird Thank you Card

Welcome to my Corner of the World

Last month I posted my first three videos introducing Stampin’ Blends, as I explained at that time, Stampin Blends are alcohol markers and have been available for a few years now. Although I have some of them I had not really explored them very much. When one of my lovely customers asked me a question on them I was unable to give her a good answer and made the decision I was going to teach myself how to use them!

Rather than practice in private – I decided I was going to practice on video, starting with the basics and developing my skills in front of you, my sweet readers! So the fourth in the series introduces the Color Lifter to create a pretty Western Bluebird using the Free As A Bird Stamp Set – enjoy!

Prized Peonies with Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Markers

Welcome to my Corner of the World

I have shared a number of cards using the Prized Peony Stamp set, today I share how great the images are for coloring with Stampin’ Blends and used the coordinating Peony Dies to cut my flowers and leaves as well as to add a very feminine scalloped edge to one of the layers.

The greetings in this stamp set cover sympathy, love and thanks, friendship and ‘thoughts’ ~ all very useful ones to have in your stash!

Ink & Share Scrapbook Blog Hop ~ Spring/New Beginnings

Welcome to the  Ink & Share Scrapbook blog hop,  we are  group of international Stampin UP! demonstrators sharing our ideas and creativity with you.

You will have either arrived from  Rebecca-Jo’s post or starting here ~ either way WELCOME.  This month we have been challenged with a Spring/New Beginnings theme

Once again I have chosen to use a 12 x 12 page – mainly because Stampin’ UP! has 12 x 12 card stock in all its colors which gives me a fantastic choice but also because they have the 12 x 12 Page Protectors and Albums.

Ornate Style with some relaxing Stampin’ Blends Coloring

Welcome back to my corner of the world

As I write this post it is Good Friday – the weather is absolutely beautiful (although a tiny tad chilly) this morning and as I look out,  my garden has patches of color from the early flowering plants.  It makes me think that despite all of the sad and anxious times we are living thru at the moment – nature is carrying on in her own sweet way bringing  fresh growth and color.

My card today carries on this theme – I have chosen to use the big flower stamp from the Ornate Style Stamp Set and some relaxing coloring with Stampin’ Blends.

Happy Birthday with a Cross Stitch Bear

welcome back to my corner of the world.

Most crafters do  more than one craft, papercrafting is my first love closely followed by embroidery – mainly counted cross-stitch these days although I used to do a lot of free-form embroidery back in the day!

My great-niece turned 6 at the beginning of this month so I decided to  marry my two favorite crafts together by stitching a small piece then building a card base to fit it in – it was a lot of fun I might try it again sometime!
