Flowering Flourishes ~ Stampin’ Up!

Sometimes sad things happen in our lives or the lives of our family and friends.  Just such an occasion happened this last week, I felt a hand-made card would just let them know I was thinking of them in their sadness but hoped they would overcome that sadness and enjoy them wonderful memories left behind.

The stamp set is called Flowering Flourishes and I have had this set for a couple of years.  Last July is was featured as my ‘Stamp Set of the Month’ which is my class on the go I offer virtually. (see the tab at the top of the page for more info!)

Card Base : 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Pear Pizzazz ~ scored at 4 1/4

Layer: 5 1/4 x 4 Very Vanilla – an oval was cut with the 3rd largest in the Ovals Collection Framelits  then embossed with the Decorative Dots embossing Folder. A little piece of Very Vanilla seam binding (now retired) tied in a simple knot to one side.

The main image was stamped directly onto the card base in Versamark ink then sprinkled with white embossing powder before using my  heat gun.

The Very Vanilla layer was attached to the base card with about 7 – 8 Stampin Dimensionals as I wanted it to be raised over the main part of the card.

A Butterfly with the Bitty Butterfly punch was added and the ‘I’m So Sorry’ comes from the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp set which contains a bunch of really useful greetings.

I was pleased with the result and hope it showed my heartfelt feelings.

Here are the main supplies used:

Happy StamMy Project 4-001ping 🙂
