Flourishing Phrases with Tufted Embossing Folder

We have a new embossing folder in the 2018 -2019 Annual Stampin’ UP! catalog, simply called ‘ Tufted‘ I wanted to use it so much but for it not to get lost in too much other detail.

Once again a gentle stroll thru my stamp sets and  dies I spied the Flourishing Phases stamp set and the coordinating Flourishing Thinlits Dies – neither of which had been used for a while.

Fond Farewell – Tempting Turquoise

Today’s card is a fond farewell to one of the retiring colors from the SU family and the 1/8 silver ribbon. I love this bright and cheerful color – it always reminds me of summer!  I have to say I will miss the 1/8 silver ribbon – it was one of my ‘go to’s when I wanted a little bling on my card.

I have used the Flourishing Phrases Stamp Set which has the lovely swirly stem of flowers as well as that cheeky little ‘Hello’ that could work for almost any occasion. Continue reading

Thoughts and Prayers ~ Stampin’ UP!

I wanted to make a very simple card, this is not my normal style – I usually like layers, embellishments and some bling, but today I needed simple.

The Thoughts and Prayers Stamp Set has a  lovely floral and leafy shishy sort of branch that is so restful and also takes quite a bit of the card front .  I chose to use my favorite color combination Very Vanilla and Night of Navy. Continue reading
