Wax Resist Technique – Video

I have a monthly class where we explore different techniques using card and ink with some added stamp sets, ribbons and other embellishments.  We then use the technique to create a card and a couple of months ago we did one using ordinary wax paper.  To be honest, the only reason I have wax paper at all is to use for my card crafting – I think this is the second technique we have done with it and I have a couple more up my sleeve!

Card base:  8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Lemon Lime Twist ~ scored @ 4 1/4

Layer 1:  5 1/4 x 4 Glossy White Card

Layer 2:4 1/8 x 2 3/8 Lemon Lime Twist

Layer 3: 4 x 2 1/4 Whisper White Card

Ink Colors: Tranquil Tide, Lemon Lime Twist, Powder Pink and Smoky Slate.

All the stamps are from the Blooms and Wishes Stamp set, this allows you to build up some really pretty effects and has 3 really nice greetings in a lovely font.

The Decorative Ribbon Border Punch allowed me to create some ‘ribbon’ out of the same card – it has a lovely ‘lacy’ look which goes well with the lacy look of the  Garden Trellis embossing folder I used for the resist technique.

Enjoy the video ~
