Today’s card is another in my Sweet and Simple series where I have set myself a little challenge using a small amount of equipment and supplies – kind of like one of those cookery shows where you are given 3 or 4 ingredients and you have to turn it into a spectacular 4 course meal!
The stamp set is Healing Hugs and I have used my new favorite combination of Soft Sea Foam and Gray Granite. This stamp set is perfect for ‘get well’ cards which we hope we never have to make and send but when that time does happen this is a lovely set to have to hand.
Card base: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Soft Sea Foam Card ~ scored @ 4 1/4
Layer 1: 5 1/4 x 4 Gray Granite Card
Layer 2: 5 1/8 x 3 7/8 Whisper White Card
Ink Color: Gray Granite and Soft Sea Foam
I stamped the leaves directly onto Whisper White card then stamped the rose onto a separate scrap of Whisper White then fussy cut with paper snips, then added to the card with 2 – 3 Stampin Dimensionals. Some loops of Silver Metallic Thread and we are done!
The flower and leave images in this set is one of the new DistINKtive stamps that Stampin’ UP! has recently introduced – they have shading and dimension etched into the stamp so that with one load of ink and one stamp you get an image which looks like it has been overstamped several times and gives your image depth and dimension……….. so pretty.
