We are in the last couple of weeks for the Stampin UP! 2018 – 2019 annual catalog which means that stamp sets and other products will be retiring and there are some of my favorites among them. So I am going to use my blog posts to share some of the things that are retiring – along with links so that you can put in your order so you don’t miss out.
Today’s card uses the Tuscan Vineyard Stamp Set ~ one I have used on several cards in the past, this one makes a great guy card.
Card base: 11 x 4 1/4 Crumb Cake Card ~ scored @ 5 1/2
Layer 1: 5 1/4 x 4 Soft Suede Card
Layer 2: 5 x 3 3/4 Very Vanilla Card
Scraps of Very Vanilla Card for Embellishments
Ink Colors: Soft Suede, Old Olive and Merry Merlot
The olive branches and greeting is stamped directly onto layer 2 which is then sponged with Soft Suede and a Stampin Sponge. This is attached to layer 1 with some Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive before winding some Linen Thread around and tied off with a simple knot. 4 – 5 Stampin Dimensionals are used to attach this to the base card.
The wine jugs are stamped in Soft Suede then cut with 2 1/4 Circle punch and edges sponged for a more vintage feel. The ‘wine seal’ is in Merry Merlot ink then cut with 1″ circle punch. Both of these are attached to the card with Stampin Dimensionals. If you take a peek inside the card you will see I used the ‘cork’ stamp as well as sponging the edges.
