It is so easy to get carried away with all the new goodies we have to choose from in the new 2019 – 2020 Stampin’ UP! catalog and I have shared some of them over the last couple of weeks.
There are some particular favorite stamp sets that carried over from last year and one of them is Dandelion Wishes. A few months ago I ‘tripped over’ the color combination of Cajun Craze and Petal Pink – it fascinated me then and still does today, so my card features this combination along with another favorite – a simple Z-fold card.
Card base: 11 x 4 1/4 Cajun Craze Card ~ scored @ 2 3/4 and 5 1/2
Layer 1: 4 1/4 x 2 3/4 Petal Pink Card
Layer 2: 4 x 2 1/2 Very Vanilla Card
Ink Colors: Cajun Craze and Petal Pink
I used a little tone-on-tone stamping for the front panel of my card base – this is simply using the same color ink as card to give some texture. I wrapped some linen thread (another of my favorites!) around this panel and tied off with a simple bow.
Layer 1 and 2 are attached with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive after stamping then attached to the card base with 3 Stampin Dimensionals – taking care to just put them on the back of the left-hand side of the panel otherwise the card would not open 🙂 I also made sure the stampin dimensionals ‘trapped’ the linen thread in place so that it would not fall off the end of the card! A final flourish with a single Basic Pearl Jewel and I am happy with the result!
