Hello Paper Crafting Friends ~ welcome back to my corner of the world.
We were away on holiday (vacation) last week and our dear, sweet puppies, Daisy Mae and CiCi went to stay with some friends – who spoiled them rotten I am sure! But I did so miss them and their little ways. Needless to say when we got home they gave us a wonderful welcome – then Daisy Mae promptly gave us the ‘cold shoulder’ as punishment for leaving her!
So our ‘girls’ are our friends forever and today’s card is just for them with a lovely doggie theme from the Happy Tails Stamp set
Card base: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Basic Black Card ~ scored @ 4 1/4
Layer 1: 5 1/4 x 4 Cherry Cobbler Card
Layer 2: 4 3/4 x 3 1/2 Very Vanilla Card
Ink Color: Tuxedo Black Memento and Cherry Cobbler
The dog and greeting are heat embossed onto scraps of Basic Black card with White Embossing powder. To learn the art of Heat Embossing ~ Click Here
The Dog is cut with the Dog Builder Punch which also has a little heart shape. The greeting is trimmed to a 1/4″ square then layered onto pieces cut 1/8 larger all round to give me my layers. The pawprints and bones along with that cute little dog house are all directly stamped onto my Very Vanilla layer before a couple turns of Linen Thread added, Gold Metallic Pearls and I am done. Perfect homage to our sweet girls (click here to see a picture of them)
