welcome back to my corner of the world.
Most crafters do more than one craft, papercrafting is my first love closely followed by embroidery – mainly counted cross-stitch these days although I used to do a lot of free-form embroidery back in the day!
My great-niece turned 6 at the beginning of this month so I decided to marry my two favorite crafts together by stitching a small piece then building a card base to fit it in – it was a lot of fun I might try it again sometime!
Card base: 12 x 5 1/2 Very Vanilla Card ~ scored @ 4 and 8
Ink Color: Rich Razzleberry ink pad and Stampin Blends
I used the Oval Layered Dies to cut the aperture in the center panel of the card – I chose one that would just fit the stitched piece which was attached to the card base with Tear and Tape. I found I had to trim a ‘smidgen’ of card off the panel that folded inside the card so everything would lay flat.
The ribbon is the 3/8 Silver and White Metallic-edge ribbon which I colored with the light Rich Razzleberry Stampin Blend, which was a very close match to the little bear’s hat band, before tying a bow and attaching with a mini glue dot

Hope you enjoyed this mash-up of my two crafts, and that my great-niece did as well – even if she didn’t I had a great time working on it!

I love the cross stitch bear card. As you, I do lots of hand work. Counted cross stitch, needle point, crewel, etc. I love how you used in a card.
