Very Versailles Trailing Leaves Thank You Card

Welcome to my Corner of the World

We try to keep our card nice and flat don’t we? Today I have actually scrunched up the card to make the decorative flower that is the main feature of this pretty thank you card.

I have used the Very Versailles Stamp Set such a lot, I really love the stamp with trailing leaves, it is so graceful and dainty and fills a lot of space on the card at the same time!

Floral Essence and Mint Macaron

Welcome back to my corner of the world

Mint Macaron has been one of my go to colors since it was released as an In-color a few years back, when it was due to retire as an incolor I hoarded some card as well as the ink pad and refill, using it sparingly for special occasions!  So when it was re-introduced as a part of the Subtles family of colors I was beside myself with joy!

So today’s card just uses Mint Macaron with a little Smoky Slate and Whisper White.  I also broke out my Sponge Brayer – it is some time since that saw the light of day!

Family Love Garden Lane Sampler

Welcome back to my corner of the world

I love practically any type of papercrafting but I think my most ‘favoritest’  are samplers or  frameart, you can put lots of different items and techniques onto them without them appearing ‘over the top’

The sampler I am sharing today is one of the projects from my annual Stampin Getaway last October and features the serene Garden Lane DSP along with a whole host of punches, dies, ribbons and embellishments.

Peacock Tails with Floral Essence Birthday Card

Hello Paper Crafting Friends ~ welcome back to my corner of the world.

Today’s card is the result of clearing off my work bench before going away on holiday!  At the end of July I was part of a Scrapbook blog hop and had decided to use the Detailed Peacock dies along with the Noble Peacock Specialty Paper.  Rather than cut into my specialty paper straight away I had a little practice with some regular card – just to see what it would look like and if it would work on the page I was designing.  Glad to say that it did – click here to see the results!

So now I was left with two perfectly cut pieces of Shaded Spruce card that I just could not bring myself to throw away!

Terracotta Tile Floral Essence and Grapefruit Grove

A couple of weeks ago I posted a card using a color combination that seemed unlikely but simply presented itself (check here) – well it happen again when tidying up my workbench………… Terracotta Tile paired with Grapefruit Grove – a couple of scraps  I was putting away that suddenly said…. ‘just a minute’.…. there is something going on here!

So I went with it – putting a Very Vanilla Card layer in between to give it a little more definition.  During my clean up I also came across a couple of flowers stamped and punched with the Floral Essence Stamp set – so it was just a case of pulling it all together.
