We try to keep our card nice and flat don’t we? Today I have actually scrunched up the card to make the decorative flower that is the main feature of this pretty thank you card.
I have used the Very Versailles Stamp Set such a lot, I really love the stamp with trailing leaves, it is so graceful and dainty and fills a lot of space on the card at the same time!
- Base Card: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Sahara Sand Card ~ scored @ 5 1/2
- Layer 1: 5 x 3 3/4 Merry Merlot Card
- Layer 2: 4 3/4 x 3 1/2 Very Vanilla Card
- Ink Color: Early Expresso and Merry Merlot
I started by stamping the greeting in the bottom right hand corner, then the beautiful trailing leaves, the first time in full strength ink then a second time without reinking the stamp, this is called a stampin’ off technique and gives me a little extra texture with the slightly later shade.
I cut two petal pieces using the Perennial Flower Punch and Merry Merlot card – then scrunched them up really tightly before flattening them out and attaching together with a Mini Glue Dot. Although the picture does not do it justice the little leaf is cut from Gold Foil Sheet with the Sprig Punch. A gentle sprinkling of Champagne Rhinestones to finish off this very pretty card.
