Spring has sprung, we have sunny weather here in North Texas, and here we are in Easter Week. My card uses the ‘soon to retire’ Gift of Hope Stamp Set, with its peaceful church and dainty floral garland.
I associated Easter colors with green and purple, I don’t know why that would be but they just work for me so Highland Heather and Soft Seafoam feature in today’s card.
- Base Card: 11 x 4 1/4 Highland Heather Card ~ scored @ 5 1/2
- Layer 1: 5 1/4 x 4 Soft Seafoam Card
- Layer 2: 5 x 3 3/4 Basic White Card
- Ink Color: Highland Heather and Smoky Slate
I used the Layering Circle Dies to cut a circle for my church – choosing the one that was the best fit then a slightly larger scalloped one to create the layer. These are attached to the card with a couple of Stampin’ Dimensionals. I also had my water color pencils to hand after a card I made for a blog hop last Saturday to add a little pop of color to my garland. A soft bow with the Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding and a smattering of pearls to finish off.
As I look at the card it occurs to me that it would make a great confirmation card if you simply changed out the greeting.
