Last week I shared my technique for creating daffodils with the Daffodil Dies. As I explained in my video at the time I chose to use some ‘off the wall’ colors for my demo so that it would be easier for you to see how the different pieces went together.
As you know – I hate waste – and seeing those two ‘wild’ looking daffodils sitting on my work bench troubled me! so I pulled out some Basic Black card, did a touch of heat embossing and attached them to create this thank you card.
- Base Card: 11 x 4 1/4 Basic White Thick Card ~ scored @ 5 1/2
- Layer 1: 5 1/4 x 4 Basic Black Card
- Ink Color: Versamark
The colors for the daffodils are Poppy Parade and Crushed Curry with Pear Pizzazz for the leaves. I used the Daffodil Daydream stamp set for the pretty lacy strip at the base of the card, using my heat tool with Silver Embossing Powder. My bow is made with the Simply Elegant Trim.
