I love doing these vintage/shabby chic style cards – the cornflower in the Wonderful World Stamp Set just shouted at me for this technique. This stamp set is one of your choices if you place a qualifying order during Sale-a-bration. Click here for more info on Sale-a-bration
- Base Card: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Blushing Bride Card ~ scored @ 4 1/4
- Layer 1: 5 1/4 x 4 Sahara Sand Card
- Layer 2: 4 x 3 Blushing Bride Card
- Layer 3: 3 3/4 x 2 3/4 Very Vanilla Card
- Ink Color: Soft Suede and Sahara Sand
I used Sahara Sand ink to stamp the cornflower ‘tone-on-tone’ on the Sahara Sand card, then in Soft Suede on the Very Vanilla layer. Taking my paper snips I roughed up the edges of all the layers and added some Sahara Sand ink with a Sponge Dauber to give a real ‘vintagy’ feel. I also used the Sponge Dauber to add some ink over the central cornflower, before attaching the pieces together with a little Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. I used my faux knot technique to add the Rose Gold and White Striped Ribbon (check it out here) and finished off with a beautiful Pearl.
The greeting is from the Go To Greetings Stamp Set, which I have used such a lot in recent cards.
