Each month I take part in a Scrapbook hop,  I recognize not everyone is into scrapbooking so I try to take some elements from my layout to create a card to show how Stampin’ UP! products can be used for both card making and scrapbook pages. October’s hop had an Autumn Colors theme (check it out here) so today’s card is full of autumn theme and rich, rustic colors – with a little bling to make my heart happy.

• Base Card: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 So Saffron Card ~ scored @ 4 1/4
• Layer 1: 5 1/4 x 4 Metallic & Shimmer 6 x 6 Specialty Paper
• Layer 2: 5 1/4 x 4 Mossy Meadow Card
• Ink Color: Versamark with Gold Embossing Powder

Although the photo does not really pick it up the Metallic & Shimmer Specialty paper has a very subtle glitter to it which catches the light as you move the paper.

My Mossy Meadow layer needed a little ‘something’ to make it pop so I gently sponged Versamark Ink onto the edges then added a little Gold Embossing Powder, before setting with the Heat Tool.

My embellishments are from the Leaf Labels and Amber Gems Pack – I simply stamped with the ‘dotty’ stamp in the coordinating Perched in a Tree Stamp Set and added embossing powder as before. The other leaves are cut from Brushed Metallic Card with dies from the Aspen Tree Dies, they are attached with Stampin Dimensionals and Mini Glue Dots.
