Welcome to my Corner of the World
Once again I enjoyed designing and making my flip over calendar for 2023, with the help of my friend, Elly – while she was visiting from the UK in October. . As I have done for the last few years I am going to be sharing one at the start of each month. This was designed for a stamp camp in early December 2022, we had such fun making them and my ladies have made me promise to do another for 2024
I am changing things a little for this year, I recognise not everyone is into making 3D items so have created a card for each month, using elements from the calendar for that month. .
So today I share, Shamrock Luck! where I have created some shamrocks using heart shaped dies.
- Base Card: 5 1/2 x 4 Crushed Curry Card
- Calendar Layer : 5 x 3 1/2 Basic White Card
- Ink Color: Granny Apple Green
The stamp set is Charming Sentiments I used a scrap of Crushed Curry Card cut with the Handmade Tag Punch for the background, The circles and the hearts come from the Give it a Whirl Die set with some scraps of Parakeet Party and Garden Green card then topped off with a couple of Champagne Rhinestones.

As I work thru the year some of the products used might have retired, however you may have them in your stash or find a suitable alternative, either way enjoy 🙂
The calendar part is made using the Days to Remember Stamp Set ~ which is cleverly designed to cover all the months of the year. I have a video on how I used it to create my calendar. Check out how I did this
Here is the card using some of the calendar elements:
- Card Base: 11 x 4 1/4 Crushed Curry Card ~ scored @ 5 1/2
- 2nd Layer : 4 3/4 x 3 1/2 Basic White Card run the the Cut and Emboss Machine with the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder
- 3rd Layer: 3 3/4 x 2 3/4 Parakeet Party Card
- 4th Layer : 3 1/2 x 2 1/2 Basic White Card
- Ink Color: Granny Apple Green
I added a length of the shiny Parakeet Party Metallic Woven Ribbon for an extra bit of bling!
