I often use the colors in decorative paper paper packs as my inspiration for color combo’s, however sometimes I want to use a combo that doesn’t have a decorative paper pack………….. so I make my own!
I also wanted to share another card using some of the card/inks that are retiring at the end of this month, although I have made this any occasion card I think by changing the greeting this would make the perfect Mother’s Day Card.
- Base Card: 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 Parakeet Party Card
- Layer 1: 5 1/4 x 4 Orchid Oasis Card
- Layer 2: 5 x 3 3/4 Basic White Card (stamping layer)
- Layer 3: 8 1/2 x 3 Basic White Card ~ scored @ 4 1/4
- Layer 4: 4 x 2 3/4 Orchid Oasis Card
- Layer 5: 3 3/4 x 2 1/2 Basic White Card (stamping layer)
- Ink Color: Parakeet Party & Orchid Oasis
Using Sponge Daubers to apply the ink to the Botanical Beauty Background Stamp, then applying to the Basic White Card. After attaching the front panel to Orchid Oasis Card, I wrapped some Parakeet Party 1/8 Metallic Ribbon around it, carefully attaching the ends to the back with some adhesive tape.
My greeting is from the soon to retire Go To Greetings Stamp Set cut with one of the small Perennial Postage Dies then attached with some Mini Stampin Dimensionals.
