Yesterday was our 16th Wedding Anniversary – it seems incredible ~ those years have flown by so fast. I made a card for my husband and tried very hard to give it a bit of a masculine twist, I think I captured it in the colors but perhaps the bow was a little too ‘girly’ – but he took it very well. Lovely Laurel Vellum ~ Stampin’ Up!
I do love flowers – I grow them in my garden, in the past I have made them out of flowerpaste (gumpaste) and made them from paper.
I have to be very cautious about choosing stamp sets out of the catalog ~ my eyes are always drawn to the flower sets to the exclusion of others, great for me but not everyone has the same passion as me! The other day I found out just how cautious I had been, when I wanted to create a card with some flowers on it – I could not find a stamp set on my shelf with a flower in it!!! Continue reading

Happy Anniversary – Freezer Paper Technique
Dear, sweet friends celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary earlier this month – 30 years is a wonderful achievement and needed something special ~ pink is one of her favorite colors so Pink Pirouette is the main color for the card, highlighted with Rose Red. I used the freezer paper technique to create this one.

Sassy Seasons……………
It is a while since I last posted news on my blog. Those of you who know me or have been following me for a while know that I work for one of the biggest retail tax preparation services in the US – and Jan 1st thru April 18th this year I have been helping the nation prepare and file their 2015 tax returns!!!
While I had time to write posts I did not have time to make anything to share with you on a regular basis – but now I am back with some cards and other paper projects to share……. I hope you enjoy them – feel free to comment.
Lovely Amazing You meets Flower Medallion Punch
This is a very quick, clean and simple card and would work for birthday, thank you, anniversary or maybe as an encouragement card.
It is part of my Clean and Simple Stamp O’Stack series and I just love the way the colors work together; and it uses the Lovely Amazing You stamp set which was featured in my virtual class ~ Stamp Set of the Month in May.
‘Crazy About You’ Anniversary
‘Crazy about You’ is the perfect title for a stamp set used for an anniversary card. I made this card in May for the wedding anniversary for the couple whose husband was our best man at our wedding.
I chose to make the card in Cherry Cobbler and Gold as those were their wedding colors back in 2006.
Painted Petals Birthday Card
This is the final chance to get your hands on this really pretty stamp set ~ Painted Petals’ I have featured it on a number of posts and it retires on June 2nd!
Happy Valentine’s Day
This is the final project celebrating Valentine’s Day, I think I saved this one for last as it really does use colors well outside the box, but who said Valentine cards had to be red and pink!!!!
I hope you enjoyed my week of valentine projects, I certainly enjoyed sharing them with you – if you have a moment please leave me a comment ~ let me know you are out there !!!!!
Valentine’s Week # 6
My 6th Valentine project is a card, and this time an unexpected stamp set ~ Sheltering Tree’ from the Occasions catalog. This is a very versatile set and I shall be featuring it in some of my classes in the coming months. The colors, once again, are traditional for valentine day but it would look equally as good in any of the other color combinations I have shared in the last few days.
I hope you are enjoying these valentine projects – please leave me a comment!
